Group Members

Eric grew up in Charleston, West Virginia where he got his BS in biology and a minor in business administration from The University of Charleston. As one of the introductory recipients of the Russell and Martha Wehrle Innovation Colleague Scholarship, he further honed his skills in operational management, along with his start-up skills, by acting as the president of the scholar program and the student liaison for start-up interface with the Innovation Center. He then completed his master’s in biomedical engineering at Ohio University, where his research focused on developing naturally derived biomaterials for tissue scaffolds using polymer chemistry aimed to be processed using additive manufacturing. During his graduate studies, Eric accepted a Material Engineering Division Graduate Student Internship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California. He has had two stents in 2023 and 2024 totaling over a year of formulating polymeric multi-material volumetric additive manufacturing.

Alysha is a first year PhD student who graduated with a combined HBS and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah. During her time as an undergraduate she researched the impact of copper on the Farmington Bay and Great Salt Lake. She then completed her master’s at the University of Utah and interned at Idaho National Laboratory within the Reactor Engineering Department. Alysha has a strong interest in 3D printing, novel materials, nanoparticles, and catalysis. In her free time Alysha enjoys baking, crocheting, and reading.

Alvin is a Post-Baccalaureate Research Assistant who graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry and a minor in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. As an undergraduate, he researched photopolymerization-induced phase separation in photopolymer networks for critical materials recovery, co-advised by Dr. Zachariah Page and Dr. Michael Cullinan, completed a summer research fellowship at Stanford Mechanical Engineering under Dr. Wendy Gu, and interned in Manufacturing and Supply Chain at GE Aerospace. Alvin has a strong interest in polymer chemistry, polymer nanocomposites and 3D printing of functional materials. Outside of research, Alvin enjoys running, mixed media art, fashion design, and music.

Kiera is a second-year undergraduate at the University of Utah, majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. Her interests are polymers and electronic materials. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and cooking.

Harsh is an undergraduate researcher in the Sijia Huang's group and an Honors College student at the University of Utah, studying Chemical Engineering and Chemistry (B.S., expected 2029). My research mostly revovles in studying the underlying chemistry behind hydrosilylation reaction mechanism alongside some side projects.

Marianne is a third year undergraduate student majoring in Chemical Engineering at the University of Utah. Within Chemical Engineering she has interests in working with batteries, sustain energy and polymers. In her free time she enjoys hiking, basketball and watching detective shows.
